Durham & Beamish Nostalgia

Day 1. Friday We depart and visit the Bowes Museum. In the heart of the historic market town of Barnard Castle, the museum houses collections of fine and decorative arts. We depart later this afternoon for the journey to Durham and the Radisson Blu Hotel. This evening enjoy a three-course evening meal.

Day 2. Saturday Today we enjoy a day at leisure to explore Durham. Durham City, with its medieval past, has eagerly embraced the modern with its captivating mix of history and heritage with contemporary culture. One of the most stunning city panoramas in Europe, the skyline is dominated by the Durham Cathedral and Castle World Heritage Site.

Day 3. Sunday We depart after breakfast and travel home via Beamish. Nestling in 300 acres, Beamish vividly recreates life in the North of England in the early 1800s and 1900s. We depart later this afternoon to make our journey home.
