Itinerary

Day 1. Monday We travel to Blackpool with a leisurely stop at Oswaldtwistle Mills, a former weaving mill transformed into a vibrant shopping and leisure destination. With over 100 retailers offering top brands, local products, and unique gifts, it’s the perfect place to enjoy a spot of retail therapy. The site also features a lovely garden centre and a choice of inviting cafés - ideal for a relaxing lunch or refreshment break. This charming and characterful destination offers something for everyone, including friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere, before we continue to the seaside resort of Blackpool, where the fun and excitement of the coast await.

Day 2. Tuesday Following breakfast, we enjoy a visit to Southport, a classic seaside resort ideal for a relaxing day out. With its beautiful beaches, fantastic attractions, and superb shopping along the elegant, Victorian Lord Street, Southport offers something for everyone. The coastline stretches for over 22 miles and features several beaches perfect for a gentle stroll. Don’t miss the chance to walk along one of the UK’s oldest piers, stretching over the sands and offering breathtaking panoramic views across the Northwest. Whether you're soaking up the sea air or exploring the charm of the town, Southport promises a memorable and refreshing experience.

Day 3. Wednesday Today, embark on an unforgettable excursion to the Lake District, England’s largest National Park and a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. Upon arrival at Bowness-on-Windermere, you'll have free time to explore at your own pace. Nestled on the shores of England’s largest lake this vibrant town offers a wonderful mix of shops, cafés, restaurants, and attractions. For a truly memorable experience, why not take a relaxing cruise on the lake? (Please note: not included.) Whether you're taking in the scenic beauty, browsing local boutiques, or soaking up the area's heritage, Bowness promises a delightful visit in the heart of the Lakes.

Day 4. Thursday Enjoy a day at leisure to explore more of Blackpool at your own pace.

Day 5. Friday We depart for home today, with a delightful stop in Skipton to explore its popular Friday Market. The market’s history dates back to medieval times, when a Royal Charter granted permission to ‘The Lord of the Honour’ of Skipton Castle to hold a fair on the High Street. Today, the market is a bustling hub of activity, featuring a wide range of stalls selling everything from cheeses and local meats to scarves, arts and crafts, Yorkshire-made blankets. Beyond the market, there's also the opportunity to visit the impressive Skipton Castle, one of the best-preserved medieval castles in England, offering a fascinating glimpse into the town’s heritage.

Excursion days are subject to change and will be confirmed with your final travel documents.
