Day 1. Friday We depart and enjoy a scenic drive through the Cotswolds, a stunning region covering nearly 800 square miles and spanning five counties. Each area offers its own charm, from peaceful, stone-built villages to vibrant market towns, yet all share the region’s signature golden cottages, rolling hills, and postcard-perfect landscapes. Rich in history, character, and natural beauty, the Cotswolds is a true gem and provides a wonderfully relaxing and memorable countryside experience. We depart later this afternoon for the journey to Swindon and the DoubleTree by Hilton Swindon. This evening enjoy a three-course evening meal
Day 2. Saturday Today we include a visit to Longleat’s iconic Wiltshire estate. We will include a drive through the amazing safari park, where you will be able to discover various species of animal from around the world, but the highlight of the day will be the spectacular festival of light. As darkness falls, the park is transformed into a magical winter wonderland by incredible illuminated displays set within over 30 acres of splendid 'Capability' Brown landscaped grounds. Featuring custom-designed, hand-painted lanterns that you won't see anywhere else, this year The Festival of Light promises to be even more extraordinary than ever. With a new theme every year, The Longleat Festival of Light is the UK's original and best lantern experience. There will be a late evening meal at the hotel.
The scenic drive through the safari park will not include the monkey enclosure. Entrance to the house is not included.
Day 3. Sunday Following breakfast, we travel home via Oxford, the City of Dreaming Spires. Steeped in rich and fascinating history, Oxford is renowned for its prestigious university, home to 38 colleges that have nurtured many notable scholars. Its charming scenery has inspired countless writers and artists. Explore the hallowed halls of the university and follow in the footsteps of Prime Ministers, poets, and the one and only Harry Potter. Take time to wander the historic streets, browse quaint bookshops, enjoy the vibrant café culture, and soak in the lively atmosphere. We depart later this afternoon to make our journey home.
