Day 1. Saturday We depart and travel to Windsor Castle, the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world and the official residence of His Majesty The King. A royal home and fortress for over 900 years, the castle remains a working palace and a symbol of British heritage. This festive season, the Castle is beautifully transformed, with the visitor route adorned in glittering Christmas decorations. The highlight is the breathtaking 20ft Christmas tree in St George’s Hall, dressed in shimmering ornaments and regal splendour. Later this afternoon, we continue to Reading and the Holiday Inn Reading South. This evening, enjoy a three-course dinner.
Day 2. Sunday We depart after breakfast and return to Windsor, where we will enjoy a festive afternoon tea cruise. Boarding at Windsor Promenade for this intimate tearoom experience, you will cruise downstream to see the most famous view of Windsor Castle from the river, and on through Romney Lock, passing the “back garden” of Windsor Castle and other scenic riverside sights. Enjoy views from the upper deck before moving to the comfortable saloon, where you are served your festive afternoon tea. There will be additional free time in Windsor to find the perfect Christmas gift. We depart later this afternoon to make our journey home.
Excursion days are subject to change and will be confirmed with your final travel documents.
