Day 1. Sunday We depart and travel to Stratford upon Avon. On arrival at the DoubleTree by Hilton Stratford upon Avon Hotel, the remainder of the day is free for you to explore at your leisure. The Stratford upon Avon Victorian Christmas Market which boasts around 100 unique stalls, all full of colours, sounds and the aromas of Christmas time. There will be an abundance of seasonal gifts, food, and entertainment. This charming Tudor town, built on the banks of the picturesque Avon River, is best known as the birthplace of William Shakespeare and is packed with rich history, fascinating architecture, cultural landmarks, and timeless heritage to enjoy.
Day 2. Monday Following breakfast, we enjoy free time in Stratford-upon-Avon. The town is brimming with cultural treasures, from Shakespeare’s Birthplace and Anne Hathaway’s Cottage to the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and the riverside Bancroft Gardens. If shopping is your preference, Stratford has much to offer - from quaint shops and artisan boutiques to popular high street names. With its timber-framed buildings, scenic walks along the River Avon, and a relaxed, historic atmosphere, Stratford-upon-Avon is a town where literary legacy and timeless charm come together. We depart later this afternoon to begin our journey home.
