Day 1. We depart for the journey to Aberfoyle. This evening enjoy a 3-course evening meal and entertainment in the Ballroom.
Day 2. (Hogmanay) Breakfast will be served this morning, followed by a visit to Stirling – a small city with a big history. Explore the magnificent Stirling Castle, a centuries-old stronghold that has witnessed the reigns of many kings and queens. Wander through its stunning grounds and gardens, the impressive Great Hall, the Chapel Royal, castle exhibition, Regimental Museum, and more – discovering centuries of history at every turn. Later this afternoon, return to the hotel for a relaxing afternoon tea and cake. This evening, enjoy a 4-course Rob Roy taster dinner, followed by live entertainment, rounding off a perfect day of exploration and festive relaxation. As the bells chime, raise a glass with a wee dram, compliments of the hotel, to welcome the New Year in true Scottish style.
Day 3. (New Year's Day) Begin the first morning of the year with a refreshing Buck’s Fizz and a hearty traditional Scottish breakfast, the perfect start to a relaxing and memorable day. Then take the time to unwind - relax in the welcoming Thistle Bar, where tea and coffee will be served from 11:00am until 6:00pm, or enjoy a leisurely stroll into the picturesque village of Aberfoyle, surrounded by beautiful Highland scenery and crisp winter air. At 1:30pm, savour a magnificent lunch platter, perfectly prepared to delight the senses and celebrate the season. In the evening, gather in the Ballroom for a sumptuous three-course New Year’s dinner, followed by live entertainment, laughter, and good company - the perfect way to celebrate the first day of the year in true Rob Roy style.
Day 4. Following breakfast, we include an excursion to historic Edinburgh, where you can soak up the medieval atmosphere of the Royal Mile or explore Princes Street, a paradise for shopaholics with its mix of big brands, top designers, and unique boutiques. Take time to discover the city’s vibrant culture, rich history, and breathtaking architecture at every turn. More than just a capital city, Edinburgh is alive with character - packed with ancient tenements, narrow wynds of the Old Town, and the sweeping elegance of the Georgian New Town, making it one of the world’s most stunning and atmospheric cities. We return to the hotel later this afternoon for tea and cake, followed by dinner and evening entertainment, rounding off another perfect day of discovery and relaxation.
Day 5. We depart and return home.
