Day 1. Monday We travel to Sidmouth.
Day 2. Tuesday Following breakfast, we enjoy an excursion to Exmouth, one of Devon’s oldest and most picturesque seaside towns. As the gateway to the World Heritage Jurassic Coast, Exmouth boasts two miles of sandy beach - perfect for relaxing and capturing the essence of the British seaside. Included in the day is a cruise along the calm, sheltered waters of the beautiful River Exe. This scenic journey offers the best way to experience the stunning landscapes, abundant wildlife, and natural beauty of the nationally renowned Exe Estuary. Keep your camera ready for glimpses of herons, seals, and a variety of birdlife as you soak in the peaceful atmosphere and breathtaking surroundings. It’s a truly memorable way to connect with nature and enjoy the tranquil charm of this remarkable area.
Day 3. Wednesday Today, embark on an unforgettable excursion to Weymouth and the breathtaking Jurassic Coast. Stretching 95 miles along the Dorset and East Devon coastline, this spectacular World Heritage Site is England’s first natural site to receive this prestigious status. Renowned for its dramatic cliffs, fossil-rich beaches, and stunning landscapes shaped over millions of years, the Jurassic Coast offers a truly unique and awe-inspiring backdrop. Weymouth itself is a charming seaside town steeped in history, boasting beautifully preserved Georgian architecture, a bustling harbour, and a lively seafront promenade. Wander through its historic streets, admire elegant buildings, and breathe in the fresh sea air as you soak up the town’s timeless coastal charm and vibrant atmosphere.
Day 4. Thursday Enjoy a day at leisure to explore more of Sidmouth at your own pace.
Day 5. Friday We depart and return home.
