Day 1. Monday We travel to Nantwich, Cheshire.
Day 2. Tuesday Following breakfast, we will enjoy a visit to Chester. Founded by the Romans over 2000 years ago, much of the Roman influence remains and Chester’s city walls are the most complete in Britain. In every corner of the city, you are confronted with history, from the Roman amphitheatre to the medieval half-timbered buildings. One of Chester’s most unique features is the two-tiered rows, which means you can shop whatever the weather and gives you a unique experience and double the shopping fun! Situated on the River Dee, close to the Welsh border, it is one of Britain’s Heritage Cities, rich in history and charm.
Day 3. Wednesday Following breakfast, we will enjoy a visit to Shrewsbury. Tucked in a loop of the River Severn near the Welsh border, this medieval market town is famous for its cobbled streets and Tudor centre. The town itself is a wonderful mixture of old and new. The picturesque black and white timber framed buildings, historic landmarks and ancient town walls sit side by side with modern architecture. The town boasts over 660 listed buildings including Shrewsbury Castle, the famous Shrewsbury Abbey and Shrewsbury Cathedral. Steeped in history, and in a prominent position on the Town Walls, the Cathedral is certainly a must-visit.
Day 4. Thursday Following breakfast, we will enjoy a day at leisure to enjoy the on-site facilities & entertainment.
Day 5. Friday We depart and return home.
The balance on all breaks to Warner Hotels is strictly 8 weeks prior to arrival, with the following cancellation charges applicable.
