Standing unchallenged as the capital of the North Argyll, the busy town of Oban is informally known as the ‘Gateway to the Isles’ and has lots to explore and enjoy.

Itinerary

Day 1. Sunday We travel to Oban.

Day 2. Monday following breakfast, we include a scenic drive along the shoreline of the Loch to Fort William. From sandy beaches and dramatic hills to iconic films locations, castles and distilleries, there are plenty of things to do in Fort William. We continue to Neptune’s Staircase and see the boats navigating the 8 locks of the Caledonian Canal. We then continue the journey to Gairlochy before stopping off at the Commando Monument in Spean Bridge. It is in this area that thousands of elite Commandos trained during WW2.

Day 3. Tuesday Following breakfast, we board the ferry to the beautiful Isle of Mull, the second largest island of the Inner Hebrides – renowned for its mountainous scenery and rich wildlife. We take a scenic drive south passing the imposing Duart Castle, before reaching Fionnphort, the most westerly point of the island. We board the ferry, as foot passengers, to the small island of Iona, with its famous Abbey, the resting place of over 100 Scottish Kings. Iona Abbey is one of Scotland's most historic and sacred sites. We will include entrance to Iona Abbey.

Day 4. Wednesday Enjoy a day at leisure or we may offer an optional excursion (charge applicable). Your driver will provide you with further information.

Day 5. Thursday We depart and return home.

Excursion days are subject to change and will be confirmed with your final travel documents.
