Day 1. Saturday We depart and travel Lichfield, a vibrant and historic city. Rich in heritage and charm, Lichfield offers plenty to explore - from its stunning medieval cathedral and Georgian museums to its bustling Saturday Market. The iconic Lichfield Cathedral, the only medieval three-spired cathedral in the UK, stands as a treasured landmark in the county’s skyline. Wander through historic streets lined with an inviting mix of high street favourites and independent boutiques. The lively Saturday Market is a highlight, offering great value on a wide variety of goods. When it’s time to relax, choose from a tempting array of restaurants, cosy pubs, and charming coffee shops. Later this afternoon, we continue to West Bromwich and the Mercure Birmingham West. This evening, enjoy a three-course dinner.
Day 2. Sunday We depart after breakfast and travel home via the RHS Malvern Spring Festival - a much-loved event set against the magnificent backdrop of the Malvern Hills. This vibrant festival is packed full of colour, creativity, and inspiration, with something for everyone to enjoy. Explore a stunning array of show gardens, bursting with new ideas and seasonal planting. Step inside the Floral Marquee to admire breathtaking blooms and pick up expert tips from leading horticulturists. Discover the latest gardening tools, plants, and accessories among the many trade stands. When you're ready to recharge, head to the Food and Drink Pavilion to sample homemade and artisan treats. After a wonderful day surrounded by flowers, flavours, and fresh ideas, we continue our journey home later this afternoon.
