Day 1. Monday We travel to Ashford.
Day 2. Tuesday Today we enjoy included admission to Leeds Castle, one of England’s most enchanting historic treasures. Set amidst picturesque parkland and surrounded by a tranquil moat, the castle is renowned for its magnificent architecture, beautifully landscaped gardens, and fascinating heritage. Explore elegant interiors, discover centuries of history, and soak up the atmosphere of this remarkable destination. Later, we continue to Canterbury, the charming medieval walled city that has welcomed visitors for over a millennium. Wander its characterful streets, admire historic buildings, browse an excellent mix of independent boutiques and familiar high-street stores, or relax in a traditional pub. The city is also home to the world-famous Canterbury Cathedral and its rich cultural legacy.
Day 3. Wednesday Today we enjoy included admission to the magnificent Sissinghurst Castle Gardens, one of England’s most celebrated garden creations. Set within the ruins of an Elizabethan manor and surrounded by the beautiful Kent countryside, the gardens were shaped by the creative partnership of Harold Nicolson and Vita Sackville-West. Discover a series of enchanting garden rooms, vibrant seasonal displays, colourful borders, and the iconic pink-brick tower that overlooks the estate. The carefully designed landscapes offer a perfect blend of structure, beauty, and tranquillity. Later this afternoon, we visit Ashford Designer Outlet, where you can enjoy free time to browse more than 100 leading designer and high-street brands, alongside a wide choice of cafés and restaurants.
Day 4. Thursday Today we enjoy included admission to two of Kent’s most fascinating historic attractions. Our first visit is to Penshurst Place, one of England’s finest medieval manor houses and ancestral home of the Sidney family for over 470 years. Explore the elegant state rooms, and beautifully maintained gardens, each reflecting centuries of history and heritage. Surrounded by picturesque parkland, Penshurst Place offers a wonderful glimpse into England’s aristocratic past. Later, we continue to Ightham Mote, a stunning moated manor house renowned for its unique architecture and remarkable state of preservation. Set within a peaceful valley and surrounded by gardens and woodland, this enchanting property boasts over 700 years of history, featuring medieval, Tudor, and Victorian influences.
Day 5. Friday We depart and return home.
