Day 1. Saturday We depart and travel to the vibrant Bury Market, an award-winning destination located in the heart of Bury. With over 370 stalls, the market offers everything from the latest fashions and footwear to household goods, fresh produce, and books, making it a shopper’s paradise. While there, you may also wish to visit the fascinating Bury Transport Museum, home to an impressive collection of vintage vehicles including buses, steam rollers, historic trams, and more (admission charge applicable). We depart later this afternoon for the journey to Preston and the Holiday Inn Preston. This evening enjoy a three-course evening meal.
Day 2. Sunday Following breakfast, we travel home via the classic seaside resort of Southport, known for its scenic parks, beautiful gardens, and fabulous shopping along Lord Street. Southport is also home to the oldest iron pier in the country, proudly stretching over Southport beach for more than 150 years. A leisurely walk to the end of the pier offers stunning views across the Northwest, and on a clear day, you can even see neighbouring Blackpool and the North Wales coast in the distance, with fresh sea air enhancing the experience. Later this afternoon, we depart to continue our journey home, taking with us wonderful memories of the day.
