Day 1. Sunday We depart and travel to Newcastle, heading straight to the Maldron Hotel. Luggage can be stored at the hotel while you explore the city. You may return to the hotel at your leisure from 4pm onwards, when check-in opens. Newcastle Quayside Market has been part of North East culture for as long as anyone can remember. Taking place every Sunday between 9am and 4pm on Newcastle Quayside, the outdoor Quayside Sunday Market features independent traders from all over the region. The hotel is ideally located in the heart of Newcastle City Centre, within minutes’ walk of many shops, restaurants, bars and tourist attractions.
Day 2. Monday Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and some free time in Newcastle, or join our complimentary transfer to the Metrocentre - the largest shopping centre in the North East, with over 270 fantastic stores. With countless shops in Newcastle city centre and stylish independent boutiques nearby, you’ll be spoiled for choice. For fashion lovers, Eldon Square offers a wide range of clothing and accessories, featuring many of the region’s best high street retailers. Browse department stores such as John Lewis and Fenwick, perfect for some last-minute retail therapy or gift shopping. We depart later this afternoon to begin our relaxing journey home.
