Itinerary

Day 1. Monday We travel to Morecambe.

Day 2. Tuesday Enjoy a day exploring the charming lakeside town of Keswick, the most northerly town in the Lake District, nestled between majestic fells and Derwentwater. Stroll through its vibrant streets, browse local shops, or simply take in the stunning surroundings. The journey continues to Ullswater, where you’ll enjoy a relaxing cruise aboard the Ullswater Steamers from Pooley Bridge to Glenridding. These heritage vessels offer breathtaking views of one of England’s most picturesque lakes. We return to the hotel via the dramatic Kirkstone Pass, one of the region’s highest and most scenic routes, offering unforgettable panoramic vistas.

Day 3. Wednesday Today, we enjoy a scenic cruise on Lake Windermere, travelling from Lakeside to Bowness-on-Windermere. This relaxing journey offers stunning views of the surrounding mountain landscapes, peaceful wooded islands, and secluded bays along England’s largest lake. Upon arrival in Bowness, there will be free time to explore at your leisure. Set on the shores of Lake Windermere, this lively and picturesque town is rich in culture and charm. Discover its quaint shops, cafés, and beautiful lakeside settings, or visit one of its many cultural and historical attractions. It’s the perfect place to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the best of the Lakes.

Day 4. Thursday Enjoy a day at leisure to explore more of Morecambe at your own pace. 

Day 5. Friday We depart and return home.

Auckland Hotel

The family-run Auckland Hotel is situated on the seafront with spectacular views of the bay and Lakeland Hills.
All bedrooms are en-suite with television, tea/coffee making facilities and Wi-Fi. Sea view rooms available at a supplement of £60 per person.
Additional facilities include a restaurant, bar, and sun lounge with sea views.
Lift to all floors with steps to some bedrooms. Limited ground floor bedrooms.
