Day 1. Sunday We depart and travel to Kenilworth, a charming town steeped in history and legend, where entrance to the magnificent Castle and Elizabethan Gardens is included. From medieval fortress to Elizabethan palace, Kenilworth Castle has stood at the heart of England’s affairs for over 900 years. Today, you can marvel at the mighty Norman keep and imagine the grandeur of the Great Hall, once host to medieval monarchs. Walk in the footsteps of Queen Elizabeth I as you explore the beautifully recreated Elizabethan Garden, evoking the opulence and splendour of a royal age. Later this afternoon, we continue to the outskirts of Kenilworth and check in at the Chesford Grange Hotel. This evening, enjoy a three-course meal with a complimentary glass of beer, wine, or a soft drink.
Day 2. Monday Following breakfast, we travel to Royal Leamington Spa. This elegant town is renowned for its shopping, with a superb blend of independent local retailers and popular high street brands set against a backdrop of striking Regency architecture. Located in the heart of Warwickshire, Royal Leamington Spa is both beautiful and prosperous, with wide boulevards, landscaped gardens, and a vibrant atmosphere. The town’s rise to fame came in the 19th century, following the discovery and commercialisation of its natural spa springs. These waters attracted visitors from far and wide, establishing the town as a fashionable spa resort. Today, Royal Leamington Spa continues to thrive, offering charm, character, and a rich sense of history. Later this afternoon, we depart and begin our journey home.
