Day 1. Sunday We depart and travel to Chester with its vast range of chic boutiques and charming independents alongside high street favourites. Shopping in Chester is not only a great way to indulge in retail therapy, it’s a chance to get amongst the history of the cobbled streets, quirky lanes, and the famous medieval galleried two-tiered Rows. The Rows create a double-deck street, with steps leading up from ground level to long covered balconies that cut through an eye-catching network of buildings shaped by every architectural style of the past 800 years. We stay overnight this evening at the fantastic Leonardo Chester Hotel, located withing walking distance of shops and restaurants. Hotel on a bed & breakfast basis.
Day 2. Monday Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and additional free time in Chester or you may wish to join our complimentary transfer to Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet, home to 140 designer and premium brands. Founded by the Romans over 2000 years ago, much of the Roman influence remains and Chester’s city walls are the most complete in Britain. In every corner of the city, you are confronted with history, from the Roman amphitheatre to the medieval half-timbered buildings. One of Chester’s most unique features is the two-tiered rows, which means you can shop whatever the weather and gives you a unique experience and double the shopping fun! We depart later this afternoon to make our journey home.
