Itinerary

Day 1. Friday We depart and travel to Ely, a city rich in history, charm, and beauty. The City of Ely offers a wonderful blend of the historic and the modern and is dominated by one of England’s most beautiful cathedrals, which dominates the landscape for miles around. As the second smallest city in England, it is compact enough to explore on foot. We depart later this afternoon for the journey to Huntingdon and the Delta by Marriott Huntingdon. This evening enjoy a three-course evening meal.

Day 2. Saturday Today we enjoy a scenic drive through the picturesque Suffolk Villages, visiting Bury St. Edmunds and Lavenham. Surrounded by countryside with 1,000 years of history to explore, Bury St Edmunds is the home of Saint Edmund, the original patron Saint of England. Lavenham, located in the heart of the stunning Suffolk countryside, is considered to be Britain’s best preserved medieval village and one of Suffolk’s most important wool towns. Medieval charm can be found at every turn with timber framed buildings lining the narrow streets and lanes leading up to the impressive marketplace.

Day 3. Sunday We depart after breakfast and enjoy a visit to the university city of Cambridge. Packed full of stunning architecture and nature, Cambridge is a beautiful university town renowned for its impact on history. The tightly packed city centre is perfect for exploring ancient colleges, cobbled streets and the picturesque “Backs” alongside the River Cam. A city that celebrates quintessential England with pioneering scientific research. With famous graduates such as Isaac Newton, Charles Darwin and Professor Stephen Hawking. We depart later this afternoon to make our journey home.
