Day 1. Friday We depart and visit Savill Gardens, recognised as one of the finest woodland gardens in the country and a hidden gem in the heart of Windsor Great Park. Commissioned by King George V and created in 1932 by Eric Savill, the garden has flourished under the expert guidance of the Keeper of the Gardens and a dedicated team of horticulturists. Wander peaceful paths and admire the wide variety of beautiful flowers and plants throughout this stunning botanical attraction. We depart later this afternoon for the journey to Shepperton and the Holiday Inn London Shepperton. This evening, enjoy a delicious three-course buffet dinner.
Day 2. Saturday Today we enjoy a visit to Hampton Court Palace and its spectacular Tulip Festival. Be amazed as over 100,000 tulip bulbs burst into vibrant bloom, creating one of the UK’s largest and most dazzling displays of planted tulips. Celebrate the arrival of spring as vibrant colours fill the historic courtyards and grand gardens, heralding the warmer days ahead. Stroll through 60 acres of stunning royal gardens, once walked by Henry VIII, and admire tulips flowing from the Tudor wine fountain. Discover floating tulip vases, along with rare, historic, and specialist varieties inspired by Queen Mary II’s remarkable 17th-century collection.
Day 3. Sunday We depart after breakfast and travel home via the Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew. Now a World Heritage Site, Kew is home to the world’s largest Victorian glasshouse and the most diverse collection of living plants, with over 40,000 different species. You will be able to explore more than 130 hectares of beautifully landscaped gardens, stroll along a treetop walkway, and wander through tropical glasshouses at one of the world's famous gardens. You can also travel the world in the Temperate House, home to 1,200 species from Asia, Australasia, the Americas, and Africa. We depart later this afternoon to make our journey home.
