Itinerary

Day 1. Monday We travel to Canterbury.

Day 2. Tuesday After a delicious breakfast, embark on a guided journey through the enchanting Kent Downs – where chalky cliffs, ancient woodlands, and sweeping countryside unfold in every direction. Along the way, discover hidden viewpoints, charming villages, and the stories that shape this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Breathe in the fresh air as you immerse yourself in landscapes that have inspired artists, writers, and travellers for generations.

Day 3. Wednesday Today, we visit the magnificent Leeds Castle, often described as "the loveliest castle in the world”. Surrounded by a tranquil lake and set within 500 acres of beautifully landscaped parkland and gardens, this fairytale castle boasts over 900 years of fascinating history. Step inside to explore its elegant interiors, rich heritage, and royal connections. Outside, wander through the picturesque grounds, lose yourself in the maze, or relax by the water.

Day 4. Thursday Enjoy a free day to explore the historic cathedral city of Canterbury at your own pace. Wander through its charming medieval streets, browse independent shops and cafés, and soak up the vibrant atmosphere. A visit to the magnificent Canterbury Cathedral – one of the oldest and most famous Christian structures in England – is a must. Discover the city’s Roman roots, timber-framed buildings, and beautiful riverside walks.

Day 5. Friday We depart and return home.

Abbots Barton Hotel

The Abbots Barton Hotel is grand Victorian Gothic hotel, a short walk from Canterbury. All bedrooms are en-suite with television, tea/coffee making facilities and Wi-Fi. Additional facilities include a bar and restaurant. Lift to all floors with steps to some bedrooms.
