Itinerary

Day 1. Monday We travel to Irvine.

Day 2. Tuesday Today, we embark on a delightful visit to the Isle of Bute, famed for its stunning sheltered beaches and captivating mix of grand architecture. A true hidden gem, this island offers a perfect escape into nature and history. Our tour includes exclusive access to Mount Stuart, an exquisite 19th-century country manor surrounded by lush, expansive gardens. This spectacular Gothic masterpiece was the ancestral home of the Marquess of Bute and stands as a testament to Scotland’s rich heritage and architectural grandeur. Prepare to be mesmerized by the beauty and history of both the island and its magnificent house.

Day 3. Wednesday Enjoy a captivating day as we journey to the Isle of Arran - one of Scotland’s most accessible and enchanting islands - set along the breathtaking west coast. Often described as 'Scotland in miniature,' Arran offers a striking blend of rugged mountain landscapes, rolling glens, and dramatic coastal scenery. Our day includes a visit to Brodick Castle & Gardens, nestled in lush woodlands at the foot of the towering Goatfell mountain. Overlooking Brodick Bay, this historic estate boasts a rich past and a spectacular setting, making it the perfect embodiment of a quintessential island castle. Surrounded by majestic peaks and vibrant gardens.

Day 4. Thursday Enjoy a day visiting Culzean Castle, perched majestically atop a hill with sweeping views of the coastline. This impressive estate is a blend of natural beauty and history, featuring spectacular gardens, sprawling parkland, and a sandy shoreline dotted with intriguing caves. As you explore the castle, you'll be immersed in its rich history, with each room holding treasures that reveal the fascinating stories of the generations who have called this magnificent place home. From the grandeur of the castle to the stunning surrounding landscapes, Culzean offers an unforgettable experience of Scotland’s heritage and natural charm.

Day 5. Friday We depart and return home.

The Riverside Lodge Hotel is located on the outskirts of Irvine on the Ayrshire Coast, one of Scotland’s most beautiful areas.
All bedrooms are en-suite with television, hair dryer, tea/coffee making facilities and Wi-Fi.
Additional facilities include a restaurant and bar.
NO LIFT. Limited ground floor bedrooms.
