Day 1. Monday We travel to Norwich.
Day 2. Tuesday After breakfast, we’ll set off on an excursion to Norwich. This historic city boasts a compact, walkable centre, with the River Wensum flowing through its heart. Norwich holds the unique distinction of being the only English city located within a National Park - the beautiful Norfolk Broads. It's also the most complete medieval city in the UK, offering a captivating mix of ancient architecture, cobbled streets, and modern attractions. You’ll find a vibrant atmosphere filled with independent shops, popular High Street brands, and charming cafés. As England’s first UNESCO City of Literature, Norwich celebrates a rich literary heritage and a dynamic cultural life, with museums, galleries, and events throughout the year. It’s a perfect destination blending natural beauty, history, and contemporary flair.
Day 3. Wednesday Today we enjoy a scenic day exploring the picturesque North Norfolk coast, beginning with the charming seaside town of Cromer. Perched on the edge of the coast, Cromer is famed for its delicious crabs, wide sandy beaches, and traditional pier - complete with a theatre offering classic seaside variety shows. Brimming with character, the town also offers a delightful range of small, independent local shops to explore. With its rich fishing heritage, Cromer is home to a historic lighthouse and has a proud tradition of RNLI service, adding to its enduring maritime charm. Later, we continue to Wells-next-the-Sea, where we pause for a short, relaxing break. Shaped by tides and time, this coastal gem offers sweeping views, an historic maritime legacy, and timeless, tranquil seaside appeal.
Day 4. Thursday Enjoy a day visiting Great Yarmouth, famed for its sun-kissed golden sands and classic British seaside charm. This vibrant coastal town offers something for everyone - from lively amusements, arcades, and traditional attractions along the bustling promenade to peaceful strolls through beautifully maintained floral gardens. Rich in nostalgia yet full of modern-day fun, Great Yarmouth is a place where memories are made. Its unique blend of heritage and contemporary entertainment makes it ideal for both a relaxing coastal escape and a refreshing opportunity to soak in the sea air. Later, we enjoy a short visit to the nearby village of Wroxham, often referred to as the ‘capital of the Broads’, offering a glimpse into the scenic heart of Norfolk’s iconic waterways.
Day 5. Friday We depart and return home.
