Day 1. Monday We travel to Mold, North Wales.
Day 2. Tuesday Today we enjoy a visit to Llandudno, one of the largest and most popular seaside resorts in Wales. This elegant coastal town still retains much of its original Victorian character and charm, offering a delightful mix of history, beauty, and traditional seaside atmosphere. The golden sandy beach at North Shore is set in a magnificent crescent-shaped bay, flanked by the dramatic headlands of the Great Orme and Little Orme, with the town and its graceful promenade nestled between. A highlight of any visit is the pier, which stretches an impressive 2,295 feet (700 metres) over the sea. As the longest pier in Wales, it offers a leisurely stroll with superb panoramic views across the Irish Sea and along the scenic North Wales Coast. Enjoy free time to explore, relax, or simply soak in the timeless charm.
Day 3. Wednesday Today we begin with a short visit to Mold Market, the largest and best remaining street market in North Wales. Take time to browse the bustling stalls offering everything from local produce to crafts, gifts, and curiosities. Later, we travel to the historic city of Chester, where you’ll have free time to explore its charming streets, famous Rows, and ancient city walls. We end the day with an included 30-minute river cruise for a relaxing view of the city from the water. Journey upstream beneath the Queen’s Park Suspension Bridge, past the Boathouse Inn and Grosvenor Park, and through the scenic suburb of Boughton. As the boat follows the sweeping bend of the Meadows, enjoy views of beautiful riverside homes and gardens while learning about the rich and fascinating history of the river.
Day 4. Thursday Enjoy a memorable day exploring the charming town of Llangollen, complete with a cruise on the Llangollen Canal and a journey on the historic Llangollen Railway. Step aboard a motorised canal boat for a two-hour cruise that glides across the iconic Pontcysyllte Aqueduct - the highest navigable aqueduct in Britain, soaring 126ft (38m) above the River Dee and supported by 18 elegant stone piers. Then, take a nostalgic ride on the Llangollen Railway, the only standard gauge heritage railway in North Wales. This 10-mile journey winds through some of the most stunning scenery in the region, following the River Dee upstream from Llangollen to Carrog. Depending on the day, your train will be either steam or diesel hauled - adding an extra touch of heritage charm to your experience.
