Day 1. Monday We travel to Llandudno.
Day 2. Tuesday Today we enjoy a visit to enchanting Portmeirion. Situated on a private peninsula overlooking stunning coastal scenery, this unique village blends the charm of the Italian Riviera with the natural beauty of rural Wales, creating a vibrant riot of colour and architectural styles. Built by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis, Portmeirion is one of Wales’ most popular tourist destinations. Famous as the filming location of the 1960s cult TV series The Prisoner, the village features a cluster of colour-washed buildings surrounding a central piazza, scenic surroundings, and extensive woodlands. Explore its two hotels, historic cottages, charming gift shops, a luxurious spa, and award-winning restaurants - all contributing to its timeless and magical appeal that enchants visitors year after year throughout all seasons.
Day 3. Wednesday Following breakfast, we enjoy a scenic drive through part of Snowdonia National Park. Snowdonia boasts the highest mountain in England and Wales, the largest natural lake in Wales, and numerous picturesque villages rich in history and natural beauty. Our journey includes a visit to Betws-y-Coed, one of North Wales’ most popular inland resorts. Nestled in a stunning valley within Snowdonia Forest Park, Betws-y-Coed’s charming main street is lined with inviting inns, cosy cafes, and unique shops offering local crafts. Later, on our return to the hotel, we make a short visit to the Isle of Anglesey and the historic town of Beaumaris. This seaside town is renowned for its fascinating castle ruins, waterfront, and a remarkable mix of medieval, Georgian, Victorian, and Edwardian architecture.
Day 4. Thursday Enjoy a day at leisure to explore more of Llandudno at your own pace.
Day 5. Friday We depart after breakfast and return home.
