Day 1. Sunday We depart and travel to Hampton Court Palace, an awe-inspiring and flamboyant showcase of kingship. With its vast courtyards, sweeping vistas, formal gardens, and parkland, this site rivals the palaces of Europe. The magnificent State Apartments were designed to impress all who enter. Wander atmospheric corridors where Tudor ghosts are said to roam, admire Henry VIII’s Great Hall and the impressive Tudor kitchens, and marvel at the spectacular baroque palace built for William III and Mary II. Walk in the footsteps of England’s most infamous king and his wives, and don’t miss The Maze, one of the oldest surviving hedge mazes. Later this afternoon, we depart for the short journey to Shepperton and Holiday Inn London Shepperton. This evening, enjoy a delicious three-course buffet dinner.
Day 3. Monday After breakfast, we depart and begin our day with entrance to the Royal Mews and the State Rooms at Buckingham Palace. The Royal Mews, one of the finest working stables in existence, is responsible for all road travel arrangements for His Majesty The King and members of the Royal Family. Highlights include the stunning Gold State Coach, still used on grand ceremonial occasions. Buckingham Palace serves as both the official residence and administrative headquarters of the monarch. It is one of the few remaining working royal palaces in the world today. At its heart lie the State Rooms, an opulent series of rooms used for ceremonial occasions and official entertaining, where The King welcomes guests from all walks of life. Later this afternoon, we depart for our journey home.
