Itinerary

Day 1. Saturday We depart and travel to Kidderminster for an included journey on the Severn Valley Railway, one of the UK’s premier heritage railways. Traveling in a comfortable, beautifully restored historic carriage, you’ll soak up the splendour of a bygone age as the railway meanders through 16 miles of stunning Worcestershire and Shropshire countryside. Along the way, you’ll pass charming, authentic country stations, each with its own unique character. This scenic journey offers a perfect blend of rich history, natural beauty, breathtaking landscapes, and timeless charm, providing a peaceful and nostalgic experience that captures the romance of traditional steam travel. Later this afternoon, we continue to West Bromwich and the Mercure Birmingham West. This evening, enjoy a three-course dinner.

Day 2. Sunday Following breakfast, we travel home via the West Midlands Safari Park. Set within 200 acres of beautiful Worcestershire countryside, this popular attraction is one of the region’s top highlights. Experience a spectacular display of rare and exotic animals during the four-mile drive-through safari, which includes the UK’s largest pride of white lions. On foot, explore fascinating areas such as Penguin Cove, the Sea Lion Theatre, and Reptile World, where you can get closer to wildlife and enjoy engaging displays. With so much to see and do, the park offers a fun and unforgettable experience for visitors of all ages, making it perfect for families, wildlife lovers, and anyone looking to connect with nature in a unique and exciting way. We depart later this afternoon to begin our journey home.
