Itinerary

Day 1. Saturday We depart and travel to Windsor for included entrance to Windsor Castle, the largest and oldest inhabited castle in the world. Established in the 11th century by William the Conqueror, the castle has been remodelled by successive monarchs, including Edward III, Charles II, and George IV. It was carefully restored during Queen Elizabeth II’s reign following the devastating fire in 1992. Home to St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle remains a key location for ceremonial and State occasions and has served as the residence of 40 monarchs throughout history. Experience the grandeur and timeless history that make this royal residence truly unforgettable. We depart later this afternoon for the journey to Reading and the Holiday Inn Reading South. This evening, enjoy a three-course evening meal.

Day 2. Sunday After breakfast, we return to Windsor, where you’ll enjoy some time at leisure and an included 40-minute river cruise. The Royal Borough boasts a rich blend of history, culture, and heritage to explore. Just across the river via a pedestrian footbridge lies the famous town of Eton, known for its vibrant community and diverse heritage. The relaxing cruise travels upstream to Boveney Lock before returning, offering stunning views of Windsor Castle, Eton College, Mill House, Windsor Racecourse, and the Brocas Meadows. The view of Windsor Castle from the river is widely regarded as one of the finest and most memorable sights in the area. This peaceful journey provides the perfect way to soak in the timeless beauty and rich history of this truly iconic region. We depart and make our journey home.
