Day 1. Friday We depart and travel to Cheltenham, a delightful blend of tradition and modernity nestled on the edge of The Cotswolds - an ideal place to unwind. With a wealth of independent boutiques and beloved High Street shops, along with a variety of attractions, parks, and museums, Cheltenham truly is a must-visit town. Explore its elegant Regency architecture, vibrant cultural scene, and stunning gardens, offering something for everyone. We depart later this afternoon for the journey to the outskirts of Cheltenham and the Delta Hotel by Marriott Cheltenham Chase. This evening, enjoy a three-course evening meal.
Day 2. Saturday Following breakfast, we enjoy a guided tour of The Cotswolds, home to some of England’s most unspoilt and historic towns and villages. With their iconic honey-coloured stone buildings, these picturesque places exude quintessential English charm. Discover villages where time seems to stand still, wander through rolling hills, traditional market squares, and scenic countryside steeped in history. Explore hidden corners, charming cottages, and centuries-old churches that enrich the region’s timeless appeal. With its peaceful ambiance and stunning views, The Cotswolds offers the perfect escape into the very heart of rural England.
Day 3. Sunday We depart after breakfast and travel home via an included journey on the spectacular Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway. This unique experience offers a chance to enjoy train travel as it was 50 years ago, hauled by steam, diesel, or a diesel railcar. The 60-minute journey from Cheltenham Racecourse to Broadway winds through some of the most breathtaking scenery in the famous Cotswolds. Along the way, you’ll enjoy wonderful views of sleepy hamlets and charming villages, with stunning outlooks stretching across the Malvern Hills and beyond. We depart later this afternoon to make our journey home.
