Day 1. Friday We depart and travel to Cambridge. On arrival at the hotel, the remainder of the day is free for you to explore at your leisure. Take a gentle stroll through its cobbled streets, admire the grand college buildings, or enjoy a relaxing punt along the River Cam for a unique view of the city’s iconic bridges and spires. Shoppers will enjoy browsing the independent bookstores, artisan shops, and known high street brands around Market Square and the Grand Arcade. Hotel on a bed & breakfast basis.
Day 2. Saturday Today, enjoy a free day to explore Cambridge at your own pace. Visit world-renowned sights such as King’s College Chapel, the Fitzwilliam Museum, or the Botanic Garden for a tranquil escape. Take a guided walking tour to learn about the city’s fascinating past, or enjoy the peaceful paths along the Backs, where you’ll find some of the most picturesque views in the city. Art and culture lovers can explore a range of galleries and museums, while foodies will enjoy the cafés, restaurants, and riverside pubs. In the evening, why not dine at one of Cambridge’s acclaimed eateries or visit the Arts Theatre. Hotel on a bed & breakfast basis.
Day 3. Sunday Enjoy additional time in Cambridge this morning before we begin our journey home. Take a final walk through the historic colleges, browse the Sunday market, or enjoy a quiet coffee at one of the city’s many charming cafés. If you're in the mood for something relaxing, enjoy the green spaces of Parker’s Piece or take a final stroll along the River Cam. Whether you’re looking for a last bit of sightseeing, relaxed shopping, or a peaceful riverside moment, Cambridge - as one of the country’s most delightful and historic cities - offers the perfect weekend retreat. We depart later this afternoon to begin our journey home.
