Day 1. Monday We travel to Mold, North Wales.
Day 2. Tuesday Enjoy a day visiting the town of Llangollen with an included cruise on the Wharf Aqueduct and journey on the Llangollen Railway. The two-hour trip on the motorised canal boat travels across the famous Pontcysyllte Aqueduct. It is the country's highest navigable aqueduct, towering 126ft (38m) above the River Dee and supported by 18 stone piers. The Llangollen Railway is the only standard gauge heritage railway in North Wales and travels for 10-miles through some of the most beautiful scenery in Wales. The railway runs upstream, following the River Dee from Llangollen to Carrog.
Day 3. Wednesday Today we enjoy a short visit to Mold Market, the largest and best remaining street market in North Wales. Later we continue to Chester with free time to explore and finish the day with an included cruise. Enjoy a relaxing 30-minute cruise, journeying upstream, under Queen’s Park Suspension Bridge, past the Boathouse Inn and Grosvenor Park, and through the picturesque suburb of Boughton. As the cruise follows the sweeping bend of the Meadows, you’ll see stunning riverside homes and gardens, and hear about the fascinating history of the River Dee.
Day 4. Thursday Today we enjoy a visit to Llandudno. Llandudno is one of the largest and most popular of the Welsh seaside resorts, and still retains much of its Victorian character and charm. The golden sandy beach at North Shore is set in the magnificent crescent shaped bay, flanked by Great Ormes Head and Little Orme, with Llandudno and its elegant promenade lying protected between the headlands. Stretching 2,295 feet (700 m) over the sea, the Pier at Llandudno is the longest in Wales and offers superb views of the Irish Sea and the North Wales Coast.
Day 5. Friday We depart after breakfast and return home.
